Baptism

Our Parish community rejoices with you and your family upon the birth of your child. Baptism is the first step in your child’s faith journey. We are delightful you have chosen Saint Bridget Parish for this important milestone in their life.

We are pleased to assist you in preparing for the Baptism of your child. The Sacrament is administered to children of registered parishioners. If you are not registered, please fill out the Parish Registration form.

We are committed to making this celebration a very meaningful one for you and your family.

Before an infant baptism, parents must fill out a Baptismal Data Sheet. We ask you complete and submit this form to the Rectory before attending Catechesis class.

Godparents must fill out an Godparent affidavit form. Godparents who wish to be a sponsor for Baptism should have this form completed by their pastor and stamped with the parish seal. Godparents need to be practicing Catholics, in good standing in the Church and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

All forms must be returned to the Rectory by the first of the month.

To prepare for the sacrament, parents must attend a Baptismal Catechesis class. Classes are held on the first Friday of each month at 7pm in the Rectory Meeting Room. In case of bad weather, participants will be notified. Participants should park in the Rectory parking lot and enter the door on that level.

Upon completion of class and all paperwork, the Baptism date will be scheduled. Baptisms take place on the Third Sunday of every month.
