“The duties of catechesis correspond to education of the different dimensions of faith, for catechesis is integral Christian formation…the faith demands to be known, celebrated, lived and translated into prayer. Catechesis must cultivate each of these dimensions. The faith, however, is lived out by the Christian community and proclaimed in mission: it is a shared and proclaimed faith.” (GDC 84)
The office of Religious Education at St. Bridget Parish supports parents in passing along their Catholic faith to their children. We work most intentionally with families of children kindergarten through 10th grade, offering weekly classes, sacramental preparation, prayer, retreat, and service experiences.
This ministry is a collaboration of the Director, volunteer catechists and families. There is training and spiritual development for the catechists.
