Youth and Family Organizations
For information on any of these groups please call the
rectory.
Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)
The CYO is a national organization which offers opportunities for spiritual,
social, academic, and athletic growth to its members. Our parish offers
a Jr. CYO Program (grades 6, 7, & 8) and a High School CYO Program (grades
9 through 12). The continuous goal of the CYO is to elicit a strong religious
commitment from its members to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Activities
are geared age appropriate which include some coordinated with the Archdiocese
of Boston.
Family
Mass
The Family Mass is held each Sunday during the school year at 10:00 AM
in the lower church. It provides the youngsters of the parish with age-appropriate
catechesis and aims to serve the needs of younger parishioners with a
"Children's Weekly Bulletin", along with special seasonal, liturgical
and sacramental celebrations. The Children's Choir performs each week
and enhances our prayer during the May Procession on Mother's Day and
our Family Mass Christmas Pageant. A bimonthly newsletter "Saint Bridget's
Family Ties" is also available to all families. Each week during the Family
Mass, one of St. Bridget's families participates as the 'host family'
and takes an active part in the Mass. The presence of the 'host family'
at the Mass shows how the development of Faith is a family priority. Your
participation shows your commitment to the values and virtues which you
uphold as a family. Masswatch (Daycare) for restless toddlers is available
in the school during the Family Mass.

Mothers'
Group
Gatherings for mothers and pre-schoolers. Program offers prayer, socialization
and occasional presentations on parenting skills and allied topics. Meetings
are every first and third Tuesday of the month from 9:00-11:00 in the
Parish Renewal Center.

Sunday
Daycare Program-"Mass Watch"
During the 10:00 o'clock Sunday Mass, a group of competent parishioners
conduct a morning "Day-Care" program in our school for youngsters, ages
18 months to 4. This program allows parents of these youngsters to participate
in the Eucharist knowing that their children are in safe, caring hands.
Vacation
Bible School
Vacation Bible School is held the first week in August for preschoolers
and students through Grade 6. It is an exciting, fun-filled, Bible-based
program which includes the following: Bible songs, arts and crafts, dramatic
Bible adventures and an outreach project for our local Family Shelter.
Registration is held during the month of June.
