Liturgical Ministries

St. Bridget's has the following Liturgical Ministries:

Altar Servers
Girls and boys in the parish, 4th grade and over, are invited to participate in the liturgical services as Altar Servers. A training program must be attended prior to exercising this important ministry.

Adult Choir
St. Bridget's Adult Choir is open to all parishioners. The choir meets every Tuesday evening at 7:15 PM in the lower church for rehearsal. A special Christmas and Easter choir is likewise open to all those who are unable to make the regular weekly commitment.

Children's Choir
The Children's Choir is open to youngsters in the parish who are in Grades 2 - 6. They meet every Wednesday afternoon from 3:15 - 4:00 in the Music Room of the school. The Children's Choir sings at the 10 o'clock Children's Mass (downstairs) each Sunday.

Eucharistic Ministers
This ministry is open to adult members of the parish who wish to assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at the Eucharist. A catechesis will be given to all those who volunteer for this ministry.

Lectors
Adult members of the parish can participate in liturgical celebrations by proclaiming the Word of God in the scriptures and announcing the General Intercessions at Mass. A catechesis will be given to all those who qualify as Lectors.

Tabernacle Society
The members of the Tabernacle Society assume the responsibility for the upkeep of the sanctuary and the care and cleaning of sacred linens. They meet in assigned groups each Friday, following the 9 o'clock Mass, to prepare the church for weekend liturgies.

Ushers
As "Ministers of Hospitality", Ushers welcome and assist parishioners at weekend liturgies and other special functions. Parishioners are invited to join this important ministry. All parishioners, men and women are welcome to join.
