Called to Serve Weekend ! ! !

 CALLED TO SERVE WEEKEND

is September 10th & 11th

Every year at this time, our Parish launches its “Called To Serve” campaign, which marks the beginning of many of our Parish Ministries for the coming year.  This year, Called To Serve Weekend falls on September 10th & 11th.

We are blessed to have many dedicated and generous parishioners at St. Bridget’s, who volunteer for the many activities that help to bring the love of Christ to our parish and to the community at large.

Please note: ALL Volunteers must be CORI’d on these two days, take a few minutes to stop by the tables with your license and fill out the form!

Please consider serving as a volunteer for one or several of the Parish ministries.  We need you ALL.  As you contemplate how you can participate, reflect on these words from our Lord:

Amen, Amen, I say to you, as long as you did this to one

of the least of my brethern, you did it to Me.’

Would you like to get more involved in the parish? Become a Lector or Eucharistic Minister!

We need your help!

There will be training sessions for new Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors shortly. If you are interested in volunteering for these two ministries, we would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible. We need to give our veteran Eucharistic Minsters and Lectors some breathing space from their assignments. They have been more than faithful in fulfilling their ministry. This would allow them to have a few weekends free of these ministries. We could use at least six Eucharistic ministers and four lectors.

We need your help! Please fill out the form below if you can respond to this need.

2016 Parish Pastoral Council Nominees

Please note we are still in search of one more nominee, if you know of someone please contact the rectory ASAP!

My name is Anita O’Neil and I am delighted to be considered for membership on the Parish Pastoral Council.  I grew up in Connecticut and came to this area to attend the Boston University School of Social Work.  The first day of my second year here, I met William (Buddy) O’Neil. I graduated in June; we were married in July. That month I was also hired by the Framingham Court Clinic.

After seven years of living in Natick, we moved to Warren Road with our three children, whose ages ranged from a six to a one-year-old.  That was in 1969. Over time, I was active in the town-wide PTO and was a Town Meeting Member for 25 years.  My professional life included several clinic positions, being a school social worker for 25 years and being a therapist in private practice.

My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease about five years ago.  I retired to be at home with him.  He passed away, unexpectedly, last September.  We had been married for 54 years. No longer being a full-time caregiver, I have the time and energy to donate to others.  Thank you for giving me the possibility of making a contribution to this parish.

Hello, my name is Tom Nolan and I am running for Parish Pastoral Council.  I have been a communicant and registered parishioner of St. Bridget’s Church for 15 years, since moving to Framingham in 2001 and am a regular attendee of the family Mass.  My wife Mary and I have six children ages 4 to 14 – five of whom are currently attending Saint Bridget’s School (our youngest will be attending pre-K next fall).  My children have received all of their sacraments at St. Bridget’s Church (the sole exception being the baptism of our oldest son), and the three oldest are currently alter servers and lectors.

I received my degree in history from Boston College in 1992 and my JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1995.  Professionally, I have worked as in-house counsel for the Casey Companies in South Boston for the past 16 years, primarily handling the commercial real estate portfolio for the companies.

Outside of work, I spend lots of time with my family and have enjoyed coaching Framingham youth sports—soccer, baseball and basketball- for the past eight years.

Our family has invested considerable time and expense in both St. Bridget’s Parish and Saint Bridget’s School and I am proud to call the St. Bridget’s Community our home.  Presently, our parish is at a critical point in time as the Archdiocese of Boston continues with its restructuring efforts across the board.  I have a strong personal interest in making sure that St. Bridget’s remains a vital parish community and that the interests of our church remain a top priority in any potential reorganization of the local parishes.  I would be honored to serve and represent your interests on the Parish Pastoral Council.  Thank you.

My name is Patricia “Tricia” Cincotta and I have been nominated for the Parish Pastoral Council. I have been a parishioner since about 2004. I have a 9 year old daughter who has been attending St Bridget School since preschool. I have been very active at the school, volunteering at lunch, school functions, and a room parent. I have also been active in the church as an usher for four years, Christmas Outreach for five years, and four years on the decorating committee. I work as  an occupational therapist for The Natick VNA with the elderly.
