Morning Mass Ministry

The Morning Mass Ministry is open to both men and women. For each celebration of the Mass the following persons are needed: Acolyte (Altar Server) whose function is to assist the celebrant, the Lector who proclaims the Word of God, and the Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, who assists with the distribution of the Eucharist. Those who participate are assigned to one of these ministries once every 4-8 weeks. This is a spiritually fulfilling ministry that enhances the celebration of the 9:00AM Morning Mass. Please join us.

Vocations Awareness Program

At the request of our Archbishop, Cardinal Seán O’Malley, parishes in the Archdiocese have instituted Vocations Awareness Committees to encourage parishioners to pray earnestly for vocations throughout our Archdiocese and specifically from our own parish. As part of this program, St. Bridget Parish has begun a vocation chalice program. Each weekend at one of the Masses, a family or individual receives the Chalice into their home for a week to pray for vocations. Vocations are everyone’s business!

Decorating Committee

The Decorating Committee supports the Parish Liturgy by providing seasonal decorations and flowers. Their primary responsibilities include Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter in the Upper and Lower Church as well as the outside entrances. There are no scheduled meetings as the work usually occurs during the day, and dependent on the liturgical season, may be over several days from 1-5 hours. The group plans, organizes, constructs and removes decoration materials and requires moderate to heavy physical work. It is not necessary to commit to every day or season and we would appreciate any volunteers regardless of the time constraints or limitations.
