Monsignor Francis Strahan
Pastor

Monsignor Strahan was appointed Pastor of St. Bridget's Parish in 1983 by the late Cardinal Archbishop of Boston, Humberto Cardinal Medeiros. Prior to this appointment, Monsignor Strahan served on the faculty of St. John's Seminary College and Theologate for some 18 years during which he taught Liturgy, Church Music and Homiletics. He also directed the famous St. John's Seminary Choir. In addition to his present pastoral duties, he serves as an adjunct faculty member for Pope John XXIII Seminary for Delayed Vocations in Weston, Massachusetts. He continues to direct the Archdiocesan Papal Choir composed of some 35 voices, many of whom, with the original 300 voice choir, sang during the Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul II on the Boston Common in 1979. In April, 1998 Monsignor Strahan received the honor of Prelate of Honor of His Holiness, thereby conferring upon him the title Monsignor. Monsignor Strahan serves on a number of archdiocesan boards and is presently the Vicar for the Framingham Vicariate.

Father Mark DeAngelis
Parochial Vicar

Father De Angelis joined Saint Bridget’s Parish in 2010, and he recently spent time in Peru with the Society of Saint James the Apostle. He was ordained a priest in June, 1988 by Cardinal Law.  His priestly assignments include Saint Mary, Danvers; Saint Agnes, Reading; U.S. Navy (sea duty, Western Pacific, WESTPAC); Saint Anthony, Revere and Saint Patrick, Stoneham.

His studies for the priesthood began at Don Bosco College in Newton, New Jersey with the Salesians of Don Bosco. In September, 1979, he transferred to Saint John’s Seminary College (Saint Clement’s Hall).  Monsignor Strahan was on the Seminary staff during these years and he had the opportunity to take a course from him before graduating in 1981. He attended the U.S. Navy Chaplain School, Newport, Rhode Island, and his duty assignments in the Navy have taken him all over the world.

Father Robert Champagne, S.M.

Father Champagne currently serves St. Bridget's parish as a part-time assistant.  He attended the Marist Fathers Seminary and was ordained to the Priesthood on February 2, 1951.  Father Champagne spent 25 years teaching in secondary schools, and was a full-time Chaplain at MetroWest Medical Center.  Father Champagne's Parochial ministry began in 1978, and since January, 1991, he has been with us here at Saint Bridget's.
