Best Wishes to
Barbara!
Our Parish Nurse, Barbara Weldon,
has retired from this ministry as of June 30th. In addition to her
Parish Nurse’s responsibilities, Barbara directed the Christmas Outreach
Program since its inception. This program assists needy parents with
gifts and toys for their children at Christmas. The number of
youngsters who benefitted from this program is legion because of
Barbara’s loving concern and generosity of spirit. The Parish Purls,
again one of Barbara’s programs, allows our senior women-parishioners,
to come together on a regular basis, knitting winter mittens and scarves
for needy adults and children as well as hats for cancer patients.
Barbara will truly be missed. We assure her of our love, gratitude and
prayers as she begins her much-deserved retirement.
